We went on a tour of Chichen Itza which is the largest Mayan city ever found. It was really awesome to see all the buildings that they built and to learn about the culture. The first picture is of Natalie in front of the largest pyramid. It was cool because we got to clime to the top.

When they would sacrifice a person they would keep the head and they would carve a bloke with what it looked like. This is one of the blocks. There were hundreds more of these blocks.

When they wanted to sacrifice they had a well that they would sacrifice the people into. This is a picture of the well. It is about 150ft in diameter.

Cozumel Mexico

In Cozumel we went snorkeling. It was pretty good. We got to see lots of fish and some coral. After we finished this we all went to the strip and went to the stores. After that we went to a bar and got beer for one dollar a bottle. This is a picture of us in the bar.

This next pic is of us when we got back on the ship. You can see the city in the background.

Belize

Our third stop was in Belize which is a small country to the south of Mexico. There we decided to go on a bike tour through the rainforest. It was such an amazing time. We saw a couple of animals and a lot of trees. This is a picture of a mahogany tree which used to be exported to England but now they only use it to carve sculptures that they sell.

After we finished in the rain forest we went to another Mayan ruin named Altun Ha. It the place that the larges piece of jade sculpture was found.

Once we finished there we went to a restaurant to have a traditional Belizean lunch. It was good, we had chicken, beans and rice cooked in coconut milk, papaya, and fried plantain. We also had the local beer and we brought back the bottle.

Days at Sea

We spent the rest of our time at sea. There were many tings to do on the ship. Every night they would have shows and there was of course a lot of food. They also had one of the chefs do an ice sculpture. It took him about 20 min. We were told that it would normally take about 2 hrs to complete one this size. I guess he was just very skilled. It is of tow doves kissing over a heart.

Trip to Detroit Auto Show

Here are some pics of some of the coolest cars there

This is a concept mustang from ford.
